SPECIAL OPERATIONS ASSOCIATION

2022-23 SOA Scholarship Awardees

This year, SOA was able to award TEN scholarships (up from 8) of $4000 each (up from $3000).  The winners were subject to the rigorous analysis by 14 SOA volunteer members, who read over 400 pages from 23 student applicants who met the criteria for the award.  The competition was keen, and all evaluators felt that ANY of the applicants would have been worthy of this award.  This certainly reflects favorably, although not unexpectedly, on the caliber of SOA memberships’ genetic makeup!

NOTE – EVALUATORS:  ANY SOA MEMBER can volunteer to be a scholarship evaluator, but this involves extensive and serious reading of many applications, and then deciding on the order of merit of the applicants.  If interested, contact Scholarship Chair:  syevich@hotmail.com .

NOTE:  Criteria for application for the SOA Scholarship are posted on the SOA Website or are available by contacting Scholarship Chair at syevich@hotmail.com .
