The Special Operations Association is incorporated in the State of Texas and approved by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under the Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (19), Veteran\u2019s fraternal organization as exempt from federal income tax (EIN 74-2619854).<\/big><\/p>

Membership in the SOA is open to veterans or members of a branch of the US Armed Forces Special Operations Community who have conducted Special Operations as a member of a combat element or provided direct support to the operational combat element within an assigned area of operations.<\/big><\/p>

Our members include combat veterans from all wars including WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Grenada, the Balkans, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, as well as those from our most recent conflicts in the global war on terrorism.<\/big><\/p>

For the most part, the SOA is composed of U.S. Army Special Forces personnel but, also includes USAF Air Commandos\/FAC\u2019s, Navy Seals, Marine Raider, and Force Recon personnel and veterans of other elite military organizations who were an integral part of Special Operations.<\/big><\/p>

The purposes of this Corporation herein after referred to as the \u201cAssociation,\u201d are:<\/big><\/p>

  1. \"\"<\/a>\u00a0To perpetuate the esprit de corps of the Special Operations\u00a0 community; \u00a0and<\/big><\/p><\/li>

  2. \u00a0To unite fraternally veterans of all branches of the United States Armed Forces who, since the beginning of World War II, have conducted or supported \u201cSpecial Operations\u201d; and<\/big><\/p><\/li>

  3. To commemorate fittingly the memory of all those who have given their lives in defense of the Free World and to those who served in Special Operations units and are still unaccounted for as POW\/MIA; and<\/big><\/p><\/li>

  4. To promote patriotism throughout the communities of the country; and<\/big><\/p><\/li>

  5. To educate its members and the citizens of the United States in the proper development of Special Operations, and to keep abreast of new developments in the field of Special Operations as is consistent with security regulations; and<\/big><\/p><\/li>

  6. To encourage every member of the Association toward a closer personal relationship and a friendly spirit of mutual cooperation; and<\/big><\/p><\/li>

  7. To foster and promote the general welfare and prosperity of the Members, and to improve by all lawful means their status and condition; and<\/big><\/p><\/li>

  8. To be a source of inspiration for all Special Operations Units now and in the future.<\/big><\/p><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
